Metalwork
As the daughter of a welder, I was raised around a lot of metal and saw the beauty in crafting such a strong material into a design. In order to keep my items affordable, I primarily use Raw (uncoated) Copper and Sterling Silver. Every listing will state what material the jewelry is made from and I only purchase my supplies from reputable businesses.
Recently, I've picked wire wrapping and weaving again. For twenty odd years, I've been doing the most basic wire wrapping. Just enough to secure the rock, but not as the main design point. Now I'm slightly obsessed.
Rocks & More Rocks
The gemstone obsession comes from a childhood of picking up every rock I thought was unique in some way. With rockhounds on all sides of my family, it was natural for me to transition from a kid picking up rocks to an adult with far too many semiprecious beads.
We are not going to talk about the tons of rocks I have sitting around still waiting to be cut, cabbed, or tumbled...
All of the items with non-bead gemstones are NOT purchased stones/cabochons. These stones are from the hoard of rocks that were cabbed or tumbled by myself, my grandma, a member of our Rock & Mineral Club, or the gentleman my grandma purchased the beginning of her collection from.
